The Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai has laid down the challenge to defending Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl champions Police and says they have never recovered from last year's loss.

During the launch of the event at the Navosa Police Grounds today, Major General Kalouniwai says Fiji Police has a track record of success but the RFMF will make up for the recent loss and will step into the rugby field with guidance of principles that have already shaped them as an institution.

He commended the Fiji Police Force for the way they have been appearing not only in 7's Rugby but also in the 15's.

He says Fiji Police have continuously displayed a winning culture and they as the RFMF brothers will emulate their indomitable spirit.

He promised that as they prepare for the challenge they will leave everything on the field as they strive to give them the challenge that they truly deserve.

Accepting the challenge, Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew says the Sukuna Bowl will remain in Nasova.

ACP Chew says they are working hard towards their goal of defending the title and they will make sure they see through it.

He says they will continue the fun family affair and manage their bond with RFMF.

The Sukuna Bowl competition will begin on the 27th of Nov to the 1st of December.
