The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Engineers have received construction tools from the Australian Defence Force.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Australian High Commissioner to Fiji Margaret Twomey says Australia is still baffled at how Fijians have remained resilient and determined to get back on their feet after Tropical Cyclone Winston.
Twomey says the tools which included electrical power tools, generators, tents, gum boots, spades and other items will go to the greater effort of rebuilding Fiji.
Twomey says Australia will continue to stand by Fiji.
The total value of the tools donated is $155,000.
Deputy RFMF Commander Brigadier‑General Mohammed Aziz says these tools will go a long way in helping those affected by the Cyclone.
