Qauia prepares for the worst as water levels continue to rise

People cross the nearly flooded Qauia Bridge in Lami

People in Qauia are preparing for the worst as water levels continue to rise.

The next high tide is expected to cause further problems.

Qauia resident, George Lee says power went off in Qauia at about 10pm last night.

Qauia bridge was also under about 1 metre of water during high tide last night.

About 5 families have moved to the Qauia Methodist Church Hall.
