Qantas will end its 30-year sponsorship of the Wallabies and cease financial support for the national cricket and soccer teams as it desperately tries to save cash during the coronavirus crisis.
The airline said it would provide "in-kind support" to Cricket Australia and the Football Federation Australia, such as free flights and marketing, but will not pay any sponsorship fees for the next 12 months.
But its major partnership with the Wallabies and Rugby Australia, which dates back to 1990, will finish at the end of this year, leaving the national rugby side looking for a new major sponsor.
It is a major blow for Australian rugby, which is under significant financial pressure.
