The Ministry of Education has suspended the Acting Head of School of Queen Victoria School to allow for an independent inquiry into allegations made against him.
Permanent Secretary for Education, Dr. Anjeela Jokhan has asked the Vice Principal to look after the day-to-day affairs of the school.
Dr Jokhan also stated that the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) of QVS has no role to play in the administration of the school.
The Ministry says that when the head of school is suspended, necessary arrangements will be made to ensure that learning and teaching is not affected.
The Ministry also urges the PTFA President, Filimoni Vosarogo to act responsibly at a time when students are sitting for their Mid-Year Examination.
Vosarogo had released a statement on this issue yesterday but had later taken down his post on his social media account.
We are currently trying to speak to Vosarogo.
