Fiji has a lot of talent and natural resources and it needs to be utilized.
That is the sentiment of Pure Fiji owner, Gaetane Austin as the company expanded its market to Korea and the Czech Republic.
Austin said the main ingredient for all their products is virgin coconut oil from Savusavu and Labasa.
According to Austin, the oil in Fiji when compared to that from abroad, is free from virus and is pure.
Apart from the coconut virgin oil, the paper wrapping for their soaps and basket for the gifts are made by 100 women from the village of Wainimakutu in Serua.
She said the money from the sale of the wrappers and baskets is then channeled into a trust fund where the cost of education of the village children is paid for and then the money will be used by the women for their daily needs.
Austin said each and every Fijian should be proud of what we have.
