The public is being urged to make early travel plans after heavy traffic congestion was experienced yesterday morning which they say was the largest traffic congestion of all time.

Fiji Police Force Director of Operations, Senior Superintendent of Police Kasiano Vusonilawe says officers were on the roads by 6am, but traffic was already building up as people rushed to work or dropped their children off at school.

He says commuters were frustrated by the delays.

He encourages everyone to plan their journeys ahead of time to avoid any inconvenience.

Vusonilawe assures the public that officers would continue to manage the traffic, and asks for patience from travelers.
