Public hearings by Parliamentary Standing Committees will now be broadcast live by the Fijian Parliament.
Broadcasting equipment that will enable this to happen was handed over today through the Fijian Parliament Support Project.
There is now a fully upgraded broadcasting room which includes television and audio equipment.
Cameras have also been installed in rooms where the public hearings take place.
The equipment was officially handed over to Speaker of Parliament Ratu Epeli Nailatikau by donor partners which were represented Australia's High Commissioner John Feakes, Japanese Deputy Chief of Mission Tsuguyoshi Hada, New Zealand High Commission First Secretary Sally Waswo and UNDP officials.
