It will be a special day for Vodafone Fiji Bati Captain Tui Kamikamica when he leads the national rugby league side this Saturday against the PNG Kumuls at home.
Born and raised in Taveuni, Kamikamica dreamt as a young kid to represent the nation on the international stage.
Having done that in many international competitions, the 30-year-old Melbourne Storm prop is looking forward to take the field this weekend.
Speaking at the welcoming ceremony last night, Kamikamica says he is proud to represent his family this Saturday, especially as a kid growing up on the islands.
He adds he is honoured to be named as captain of the Fiji Bati.
He says it's great to see that rugby league has been introduced in the secondary school competition which is the right direction for the sport.
The Bati will host the Kumuls at 8.10pm Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium.
