Hurricanes centre Billy Proctor believes that having a better facility gives his side a unique advantage over the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua when they meet in Suva in Round 9 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific this Friday.
He says they were just in the altitude room preparing for what they think the weather in Suva will be like.
Proctor says it will be a challenge for them since the Drua feed off the heat, and the crowd and teams tend to lose their energy quickly.
The Hurricanes have been the benchmark team so far in 2024.
They are undefeated in seven games and have claimed wins over all four other New Zealand teams, including a 36-23 win over the preseason favourite, the Chiefs, last Saturday.
The Drua will host the Hurricanes at 7.05pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
In other Super Rugby Pacific matches, the Reds will face the Highlanders at 9.35pm Friday, the Blues will meet the Brumbies at 7.05pm Saturday, and the Force will take on the Crusaders at 9.35pm Saturday.
