While sharing his stories during his visit to the Aspen Medical Hospital, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka called on all citizens to rally together, embracing health awareness and determination to overcome challenges.
During the visit, Rabuka also acknowledged the sacrifices of doctors, nurses, and all medical staff, highlighting the crucial role of early diagnosis and intervention in healthcare.
Aspen Medical Fiji over the past years have accomplished a remarkable milestone of performing 100 open heart surgeries and installing advanced radiology equipment in key locations such as Lautoka and Ba including their contributions of CT scans, mammography, ultrasound, and portable X-ray units and enhancing diagnostic capabilities in these areas.
Aspen Medical Fiji also has plans for reconstruction of the Lautoka Hospital with the introduction of a CATH lab, MRI unit and also the establishment of a CT room at the Ba hospital which aims to offer radiation oncology services, underlining its commitment to comprehensive healthcare.
In a major development, mental health services will be relocated from Lautoka to Ba, aimed to promote holistic well-being and ensure that no aspect of healthcare is neglected.
This integrated approach represents a strong link between curative healthcare and the overall well-being of the Fijian people with collective efforts of the Fiji Government, healthcare professionals and organizations like Aspen Medical Fiji paving the way for a brighter and healthier future for Fiji.
