There is some good news for people as the price of gas and fuel will go down from next Tuesday.
The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has announced that the price of kerosene will decrease from $1.82 to $1.69 per litre which is a reduction of 13 cents while the price of unleaded fuel will decrease from $2.74 to $2.61 per litre.
Premix will now cost $2.22 per litre while the price of diesel will decrease from $2.34 to $2.18 per litre.
The FCCC have also revealed that the price of a 12kg gas cylinder will decrease from $46.24 to $44.98 which is a drop of $1.26.
A 4.5kg gas cylinder will now cost $16.87.
Bulk gas will now cost $3.18 per kg and Autogas will cost $2.13 per litre.
FCCC says the major reasons for the change in prices for all LPG products in February 2022 in the Fijian market are the favourable movement in Butane Contract Price and unfavorable movement in the international freight rate.
