President inaugurates newly refurbished storage area in Savusavu

President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere has commissioned the concrete slab for the coconut storage area for the Fiji Coconut Millers Limited in Savusavu.

He says the event marks an important milestone for the organisation, as the newly refurbished coconut storage area, has led the Fiji Coconut Millers Limited to achieve the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point status for Food Grade Products.

He says the construction of the facility, will help to maintain hygiene as the coconuts will not be in contact of mud or any other dirt.

A moment of silence was also observed for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
