You should expect more rain and flash flooding in the coming days as Tropical Depression 05F continues to track in open waters remaining close to Vanuatu at this stage, and located about 740 kilometres West of Nadi.
If you live in low lying areas, the risk of flooding is high.
There has been a flash flood alert issued for low lying areas adjacent to major rivers and streams in Vanua Levu.
You should also prepare and be on high alert if you live in low lying areas from Suva to Narere.
A flash flood alert is also in place for low lying areas from Vunibau Village to Veivatuloa Village in Namosi.
Please also prepare if you live in the upper Waidina River area from Delailasekau to Navunikabi Village.
Tropical Depression 05F is currently moving slowly and is expected to track northeast then southeast in the next 48 hours.
The Nadi Weather Office is saying that Tropical Depression 05F is not the only system expected to affect us.

It says another Tropical Depression is located in the North West of New Caledonia.
The Weather Office says there is a high potential for one of these two systems to develop into a cyclone over waters between Fiji and Vanuatu from later this week.
There is a strong wind warning in force for land areas in the eastern half of Viti Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and Lau group.
