Police warns public on throwing water

“Celebrating with relatives in the village or at home is okay when it comes to throwing water”.

That was the comments made by the Director Police Operations, SSP Rusiate Tudravu in relation to New Year’s celebrations.

Tudravu said however it is forbidden for people to throw water at passengers in moving vehicles and under the new Crimes Decree anyone caught will face one year imprisonment.

SSP Tudravu says Police will monitor the situation.
