Police receive complaints regarding fake taxi permits

Police have received a number of complaints from the public regarding unknown persons claiming they can secure taxi permits for them.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says reports continue to be received about of people depositing money into bank accounts after receiving a call from an unknown person claiming to hold a position of authority within the Government and private institutions, with a promise of being able to deliver certain services.        

Members of the public have been requested not be deceived by people making promises in exchange for payment especially over the phone from an unknown person.
