Accountability is important therefore accidents and abuse of vehicles have no place in the Fiji Police Force.

This was stressed by Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho while officiating at the handing over of 23 new vehicles to the Fiji Police Force today.

Qiliho says that he was very disappointed to hear that a Police Corporal ran into another vehicle over the weekend after taking the Police vehicle to his village without authorization.

The Police Commissioner reiterated that Police officers have in the past lost their jobs for abusing official vehicles and has sent a stern warning that there is no place in the Fiji Police Force for those who continue to abuse the vehicles.

The 23 new vehicles were today handed over to the Fiji Police Force by Kia Motors and Asco Motors.
