Police need our support and it is also everyone’s responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for growth.

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama mentioned this during the debate on the Review Report of the Fiji Police Force from January to July 2016 Annual Report.

Bainimarama says through capacity building, Police will be able to carry out their responsibility effectively and ensuring the rule of law is upheld.

Meanwhile, SODELPA Member of Parliament, Anare Jale says Police could also use the Duavata Community Policing initiative to reduce the increase in crime committed by students and their involvement in drugs.

The report has been tabled and passed in Parliament.
