Police are investigating the vandalism of a Go Advertising billboard which has FijiFirst Leader Voreqe Bainimarama.

Acting Chief Operations Officer ACP Maretino Qiolevu confirmed they were investigating the complaint.

The billboard is located in Vugalei, in Lami.

It appears some people threw clogs of mud at the billboard.

The billboard has already been cleaned up.

In a statement on its Facebook page, the FijiFirst called the act a clear demonstration of the lawlessness that we can expect if thugs are elected into government.

It said these are the tactics that their opposition and their supporters resort to when they are going to lose the election.

It also says they take out their frustration on billboards because the people have rejected the lies and false information they are spreading.
