Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu.

Investigators are building evidence in their investigations into the two brawls in Nabua this month.

The first brawl happened on the 3rd of this month and the second occurred on Tuesday.

In the first brawl, some people were allegedly hit with cane knives, steel rods and pieces of timber.

Two people allegedly hit by cane knives had to be hospitalised.

On Tuesday, 18 youths were questioned and released after allegedly throwing stones at other men from Mead Road.

Two people were also hospitalised.

Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says he has told the operations team that he wants the best solution in relation to the ongoing issues in Nabua.

Tudravu says their community policing team is on the ground and the youths from the two areas started playing rugby together yesterday.
