Police attempt to retrieve man’s body from excavator that fell into the Navua River

Police are currently at the scene of an accident whereby a digger fell into the Navua River with the operator trapped inside.

Police say attempts are being made to retrieve his body.

The incident occurred at a gravel extraction site in Waiyanitu.
