The Stop Cyber Bullying Police Blue rugby side has successfully defended the FMF Suva Rugby Union’s Escott Shield title after edging Fresh’et Navy 17-13 in the final this afternoon.

It was an intense encounter as both teams threw everything at each other from the get-go till the final whistle.

Police held a close 7-3 lead at the break.

Both teams managed to score 10 points each in the second half.

Navy had a chance to steal the game in the dying stages but was unfortunate after they knocked the ball on which gave the defending champions the victory. Police had the service of Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s reps Terio Tamani and Suliano Volivoli.

Meanwhile, Covenant Red scooped the FMF Koroturaga Shield after beating Nabua White 17-12.
