The Founder and General Superintendent of the New Methodist Church, Pastor Atunaisa Vulaono is calling on people to get vaccinated for COVID-19 to protect themselves and their family members.
Speaking on the Bula Ko Lau Discussion Forum in the iTaukei language, Pastor Vulaono says if people believe in God then they should not be worried about the COVID-19 vaccine and all the misinformation that is out there on social media about it.
Vulaono says he and his family members have got their first jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine and they are awaiting their second jab as it is due soon.
He says God has given the doctors and scientists the knowledge to develop the vaccines and that is why we should not be scared or have any reservations.
Vulaono says health professionals are just like teachers and mechanics who are given the knowledge from God to do what they are doing now for the good health and wellbeing of people.
He says the vaccine is not bad as how it is portrayed on many platforms on social media.
