The Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua prop forward Vuanimasei Rasolea says it is a dream come true for her to be part of the side as they prepare for the upcoming Super W competition that kicks off next month.
Rasolea says it was a difficult decision trying to choose between the Fijiana Drua and the Queensland Reds women’s team but she chose to play for the Drua because the bond she shared with her Fijiana teammates after the women’s Rugby World Cup meant so much to her.
She says after a few of the girls that were part of the winning Drua team last year left for overseas commitments with other clubs, it has opened the door for new talents to try and make it into the squad this year.
Rasolea says they fully support the players that have left and they are looking forward to a great season for the Drua this year.
The Fijiana Drua will play their first match against the Brumbies women at 1.35pm in Prince Charles Park at Nadi on the 24th of next month.
The Super W competition will kick off on the 24th of next month with the Waratahs taking on the Western Force at 6.05 pm in New South Wales.
