Playing against local men’s 7s teams improved players performance – Fuli

Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli has revealed that playing against some local men’s 7s teams assisted in their preparations for Tokyo 2020.

He says their journey to the Olympics was filled with a lot of challenges and that disrupted their preparations but the team adapted well.

Fuli says one thing they had to incorporate in the team to improve their performance was changing the culture.

The Fijiana 7s team and the rest of Team Fiji are currently spending their 14-day quarantine at Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa and all have a negative test after their 4th day in quarantine.
