There are plans to install solar power at the Nuku Secondary School in Serua.
School Manager, Elia Nasauvinaka said this $85,000 project will assist the 100 students and teachers in their school work.
He said they have made a request to government for assistance.
Nasauvinaka said the school usually relies on a diesel generator which only runs if the need arises.
This is one of the top agenda that will be discussed at the Serua Provincial Council meeting tomorrow.
Roko Tui Serua, Jese Volau said the Provincial Administrator Serua is expected to brief the members during this meeting on government funded projects such as roads and rural electrification.
Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Joeli Cawaki will open the one day meeting at Sauniveiuto village in Deuba at 9am tomorrow morning.
