Plans are underway to build a three-storey shopping mall in Labasa town within the next few months.
Businessman Charan Jeath Singh said they have an old building in the town which will be transformed into a mall.
Singh said the $2 million investment will create around 75 jobs.
He added that construction is expected to start by July this year and they are hoping to complete the project by the first quarter of next year.
Singh said the mall will be the first of its kind in Labasa which will have 28 variety shops on the ground and first floor and around eight shops on the third floor. Story by: Praneeta Prakash
