For the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side to maintain their lead on the HSBC SVNS standings, hosts Australia would have to win the final and Spain needs to get knocked out in the semis.
Fiji who currently has 36 points will get 12 more points moving them to 48 points, if they defeat France at 9.27 tonight for the 5th place play-off.
If Australia wins, they will get 32 points and jump up the standings.
If Spain reaches the final, win or lose they will lead the standings with either 50 or 52 points.
If South Africa wins, they will get 50 points.
If Argentina wins, they will draw with Fiji on 48 points each.
Spain will face Argentina at 7.05pm tonight in the first semi final, and South Africa will play Australia at 7.27 tonight in the second semi final.
The cup final will kick off at 11.35pm tonight.
The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s will play Great Britain in the 9th place play-off at 6.36 tonight.
New Zealand will face France in the first women’s cup semi final at 7.49pm, hosts Australia will play Canada at 8.11pm with the cup final kicking off at 12.11am tomorrow.
