Argentina has retained the HSBC Perth 7s title after thrashing host Australia 41-5 in the final.
Matteo Graziano scored a hattrick, Luciano Gonzalez scored a double, while Marcos Moneta and Santiago Alvarez scored a try each.
Hadley Tonga scored the lone point for Australia.
Meanwhile, Australia edged rivals New Zealand 28-26 to claim the women’s title.
The rivalry between the two teams was seen on the field as both teams hunted for the win.
The Black Ferns scored first through Michaela Brake, but the Australians responded with a try to Heidi Dennis.
Tia Hinds crossed the try line in the 6th minute to put Australia in the lead, but Kelsey Teneti got one back for New Zealand to tie the game to 14-all at halftime.
Australia managed to score another two tries in the second half to seal their win.
Looking at the men’s results, Ireland edged the USA 19-17 in the 11th place playoff, New Zealand beat Kenya 19-12 in the 9th place playoff, Great Britain defeated Uruguay 26-7 in the 7th place playoff, Fiji beat France 17-5 in the 5th place playoff, and Spain beat South Africa 14-7 in the 3rd place playoff.
Looking at the women’s results, Spain defeated Ireland 24-12 in the 11th place playoff, the Fijiana beat Great Britain 26-17 in the 9th place playoff, Brazil beat China 21-19 in the 7th place playoff, Japan defeated the USA 29-22 in the 5th place playoff and France defeated Canada 14-7 in the 3rd place playoff.
