The Peoples Democratic Party said while it has issues with some provisions of the 2013 Constitution, the party will contest next year’s election under the Constitution.

Party Spokesperson, Nirmal Singh said the party wants to move ahead and it is important that people get together and move the country forward.

Singh said they want the bill of rights to be well protected in the Constitution.

When asked on the party’s views in relation to the common name for all the citizens of the country which is Fijian, Singh said they will not comment on this issue.

He said Adi Sivia Qoro is the leader of the party and all the positions in the party are interim.

The Party will hold a National convention in January next year to elect the Party’s office bearers.
