Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has stressed for people to understand the importance of keeping our environment clean.
While speaking at the TFL Miss Fiji crowning last night, Sayed-Khaiyum highlighted that Fiji is seen as a country who has made the commitment to reduce the carbon footprint by 30% by 2030.
He says it has been raining in Suva for every second day however on the other side of Viti Levu, there is a drought looming and for over a month or so they have not received any rain.
He adds that three villages have been relocated because of rising sea levels and just recently a village in Ba had to be relocated due to landslides.
Sayed-Khaiyum has also urged everyone to use lesser plastic bags.
