Thousands of people living in elevated areas in Suva will experience low water pressure to intermittent supply from now until further notice.
The Water Authority of Fiji says the affected areas include Delainavesi, Wairua, Wailoku, Lami up to Togalevu, Namadi Heights, Princes Road, Samabula, Rewa Street, Waimanu Road and Ratu Sukuna Road.
The interruption in the water supply is due to low levels at Tamavua reservoirs as a result of river floodwaters causing blockages at the Savura and Waimanu Water intakes from the adverse weather conditions currently being experienced.
WAF divers will be deployed to the sites, once flooded waters recede.
People are advised to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
The Authority says water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas.
