Close to 4,000 people are now benefitting from the new roads in Moala and Vanuabalavu constructed by the Fiji Roads Authority.
FRA’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Robert Sen says the new roads have brought the communities safe and easy access to schools, health facilities and has enabled farmers to transport their agricultural produce and livestock’s more easily by reducing travel cost and time.
This project was under the Eastern Island Roads Upgrade project for maintenance and renewals of the existing road network and bridge repairs structure replacement on Moala, Vanuabalavu, Lakeba and Koro Island.
