With a decade after guiding the NZ Warriors into his first NRL Grand Final as a coach, Penrith Panthers maestro Ivan Cleary hopes for third-time luck against the South Sydney Rabbitohs tonight.
After losing to Melbourne Storm in last year's main event, Cleary and the Panthers are back for revenge but he will have to get past one of the greatest coaches of all time, Wayne Bennett, to walk away with the silverware.
Bennett will be out to extend his NRL record title win to eight at Suncorp Stadium.
Queensland's historic grand final will be played in front of a crowd of 39,000 due to tightening COVID-19 restrictions.
The NRL confirmed 25% of fans who purchased tickets to tomorrow's sold-out decider will automatically be refunded on a "first in" basis from when tickets were purchased.
The NRL Grand Final is scheduled for 8.30 tonight.
