The Fiji Pearls side came back from their disappointing 56-51 loss to Tonga in their opening match of the Netball World Cup on Friday to claim their first win of the tournament after beating Zimbabwe 52-48 last night.
Veteran Unaisi Rauluni was named the player-of-the-match after being on point with her shooting scoring 28 goals.
Zimbabwe led in the first quarter of the match 14-12 before the Pearls came back in the second quarter to secure a slight 26-25 lead heading into halftime.
The Pearls took advantage of their possessions in the third quarter to take a 43-35 lead. Maria Rusivakula was also instrumental in the win scoring 24 goals in the game. The Pearls will now take on Australia at 7pm tonight in their final pool match.
