The Permanent Secretary for Health Dr James Fong says today patients who were isolated in the Lautoka Hospital will be discharged to go home, as will the staff.
Dr.Fong says Lautoka Hospital has completed 21 days of isolation and it has also been 21 days since the last case was recorded from within Lautoka Hospital, with 4 rounds of testing completed for all patients and staff.
He says only emergency services will be operational at the hospital from today and the plan is to open the hospital to the public by June 1st.
FEMAT will also wrap up operations in Lautoka once the hospital is open next week.
He says while cases continue to be reported from the Central Division it has now been 14 days since a case was reported from the Western Division.
