Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama

The reality about past governments is that they really have never cared about development in rural communities.

This was highlighted by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while opening the Western Division Government Roadshow at Liwativale Primary School in Nalawa, Ra.

Bainimarama adds that past politicians only think about themselves and not of the greater good of the Fijian people.

He also highlighted that a total of 11 new developments have just been recently approved by the government with nine of them to be carried out in the Western Division.

Bainimarama says the new developments will see that resource owners also benefit from it.

The Prime Minister also highlighted that through the 2018/2019 National Budget, the Ministry of Health has received more than sufficient funding, which will allow them to carry out developments in the health system.

Bainimarama also reminded people to be mindful when they vote in the upcoming National General Elections which is bound to happen before December.

He adds that through good leadership, more students can now access free education without parents and guardians to worry about the cost.

He also highlighted the $1,000 scheme which will help parents with new born babies.
