The Lautoka High Court has ordered Minister Parveen Bala and four others to pay a sum of $3,500 to the President and senior executives of the TISI Sangam.

This comes after Bala, Dorsami Naidu, Raja Kumaran, Avinesh Reddy and Pramesh Lingam who are also executives of TISI had filed a restraining order against the former president and other executives of the convention.

The orders were to restrain the respondents from making, assisting, aiding, abetting or causing any decisions or resolutions to be made or passed by the TISI.

The orders also restricted the applicant’s rights of memberships including participating as a candidate in TISI’s AGM which happened over the weekend.

Judge Justice Ajmeer ordered that the initial injunction orders are dissolved.

The matter was called at the Lautoka High Court for committal proceedings against the respondents for Contempt of Court Orders made on 1st July 2016 in the Lautoka High Court.
