As the next general elections draws closer, preparations have started with the Electoral Commission calling a meeting with registered political parties on Thursday.
Electoral Commission Chairperson, Suresh Chandra says following the experience from the last election, they want to start the process early for next year’s elections.
Political parties are also expected to put forward issues and matters in this meeting.
Chandra says they will be talking about current reforms in the law in Parliament as well as discussing the calendar of electoral events.
FijiFirst, SODELPA, National Federation Party, Fiji Labour Party, Freedom Alliance, Unity Fiji Party and HOPE are the registered political parties.
