The Penrith Panthers have shut down rumours of star playmaker Jarome Luai signing for the West Tigers on a $6 million five-year deal from next season.

Panthers Chief Executive Brian Fletcher has revealed that under no circumstances will Luai be playing in any colours other than the Panthers' next season, despite an announcement from the Tigers looming.

Despite Luai being reportedly offered the deal to join the Tigers, Fletcher is confident that the five-eighth will not be tempted to move just yet.

Fletcher says they love Luai to death and they need him to play at Penrith next year.

He says all the speculation is rubbish.

Fletcher says Luai has been contracted with the Panthers till 2026 and hopes he will try and win another premiership with the Panthers next year.

Meanwhile, the Wests Tigers are desperate to climb the ladder after back-to-back wooden spoon seasons.
