Fakhar Zaman scored a rapid 81 as Pakistan raced to a seven-wicket win over Bangladesh in the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
Bangladesh's sixth straight loss means they are the first side officially out of semi-final contention.
Coming into this World Cup, Pakistan were seen as genuine contenders for the trophy and while this dominant win keeps them in the hunt for a semi-final place, they have so far fallen well short of expectations.
India is currently leading the Cricket World Cup table with 12 points while South Africa is second with 10 points, New Zealand is third with 8 points, Australia at fourth and Pakistan at 5th place.
Meanwhile, New Zealand will face South Africa at 8.30pm tonight.
