Pacific long-distance king Yeshnil Karan has 3 from 3 after winning the gold medal in the 3,000 metres steeplechase event at the Pacific Games.
The former Tavua College student won the 10,000 metres race on Monday and the 5,000 metres event on Wednesday.
Karan is currently equal with Team Fiji flag bearer Taniela Rainibogi with 3 gold medals each.
Karan, however still has one race left which is the half marathon at 7.15 tomorrow morning.
Fiji’s Evueli Toia won the bronze medal.
Karan says despite the challenges in the Solomon islands he is really happy and excited for his win.
He says he is thankful to his coaches, families and trainer for their support.
Earlier this afternoon the Fiji Men’s and Women’s hockey teams both won gold in their final.
In the Va'a, the Women’s team won silver in the V6 24km marathon while the Men’s team had to settle for bronze.
Fiji also won a silver in the Men’s 4x100 metres.
In Netball, Fiji beat PNG 62-45 to book their spot in the gold medal playoff with Tonga at 11.30 tomorrow morning.
Team Fiji also won 2 bronze medals in the 2 x Triathlon Mixed Relay & the Aquathon Mixed Relay.
Fiji is in fifth place with 19 gold, 26 silver and 30 bronze.
New Caledonia is leading with 74 gold, 51 silver and 51 bronze while Tahiti is second with 47 gold, 50 silver and 48 bronze medals.
