The organisers of the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament today received a boost of $20,000 from Pacific Energy Limited to show their continuation of support ever since 2012.

The sponsorship reflects the enduring commitment to the local community and the promotion of sportsmanship and unity in Fiji.

While receiving the sponsorship, Marist Rugby Club President Lawrence Tikaram says the sponsorship will enable them to widen the platform and provide interest to the future players of Fiji.

Tikaram says through the sponsorship, the U18 competition will now be called the Pacific Energy Super Future Star, which consists of 6 girls' teams and 6 boys' teams.

He also confirmed that only 3 spots are left in the Pacific Energy Super Future Stars women's U18 competition, while 4 spots are left in the Rooster Chicken women's competition.

The Marist Rugby Club President is calling on managers of all women's 7s teams to book their spot in the upcoming Marist 7s that will be held from the 21st to the 23rd of this month at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
