Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has ordered the yachts going to Vanuabalavu to obtain their permits from the Customs Department and the Commissioner Eastern’s Office, not from Yatu Lau Company Limited.
Commodore Bainimarama has also stated in Vanuabalavu that all payments should be made to the people providing the tourist services.
There are revelations that the payments are currently made to Yatu Lau Company however Commodore Bainimarama said this practice will stop now.
