Civil servants in Taveuni have been urged by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka to carry out their duties to the best of their abilities.
While on a 3-day visit to the island, Rabuka met with civil servants at the Taveuni Hospital in Waiyevo, where he highlighted the importance of carrying out their duties with minimal supervision, which will reflect on their work.
He says, sometimes the good work portrayed by an individual reflects on the progress in a working area.
The Prime Minister told the civil servants not to be discouraged whether their leaders do not come often but pleaded to them to give their best.
Accompanying the Prime Minister on his visit was the Assistant Minister for Rural and Maritime Development, Jovesa Vocea.
