Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says the voice of the youth can help shape policies and programmes that would have a direct impact on peoples’ lives.

While opening the International Youth Fellowship Fiji World Cultural Camp at the Suva Civic Centre last night, Bainimarama says it is the responsibility of every government to make every effort it could and seize every opportunity to engage with youths and hear what they have to say.

Bainimarama says at their time at this camp, youths will have the opportunity to participate in cultural exchanges that will open their eyes to new experiences and teach them many important lessons.

He is encouraged them to take full advantage of this opportunity to learn, communicate and engage fully.

A participant, 26-year-old Mereseini Laveti says she is looking forward to take the lessons she will learn and apply it in her community and family.

Laveti says she is looking forward to share ideas and learn from fellow her youth at the camp.
