Attorney General Siromi Turaga and Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources, Filimoni Vosarogo

Attorney General, Siromi Turaga says he will accept whatever decision is made by the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka regarding the cabinet reshuffle which includes the appointment of a new Attorney General.

Turaga met with Rabuka earlier today however he says the Prime Minister will make the announcement either today or tomorrow.

He confirms that he was in a meeting with Rabuka and Minister for Lands, Filimoni Vosarogo in preparation for the cabinet meeting tomorrow.

While leaving the Prime Minister’s Office, Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources, Filimoni Vosarogo said they met about cabinet papers to be presented tomorrow.

However, he confirms the issue regarding the cabinet reshuffle was also discussed.

Vosarogo says the Prime Minister will make the relevant announcement.

He also says he will accept the decision made by the Prime Minister.

Turaga remains the Attorney General and Vosarogo remains the Minister for Lands although the Prime Minister had said last Monday that the change was to come into effect last Tuesday.

Prime Minister Rabuka earlier said that the reshuffle is intended to enhance governance, improve policy coordination and further improve service delivery to the people of Fiji.

We have sent questions to Rabuka. He is yet to respond.

A full cabinet meeting will be held tomorrow.
