Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama today launched the planting of vegetable seedlings as part of the food security initiative in Yaroi Village, Matuku, Lau.
This initiative is aimed at ensuring adequate food supply for those affected by severe Tropical Cyclone Harold.
He also launched the rehab works on the Fiji Pine Trust sawmill in Matuku.
This initiative will help the villagers build back better following the devastation caused by TC Harold.
Bainimarama also gave the villagers of Matuku relief supplies.
He also commended the civil servants in maritime islands who play a crucial role in providing services to the people.
