Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his delegation visited the Australian War Memorial in Canberra to pay tribute to the fallen heroes yesterday afternoon.
He laid a wreath at the memorial house and later pinned a poppy on the wall to commemorate the sacrifices and bravery of some of Australia's unsung heroes.
Bainimarama was accompanied by the Australian Minister for Defence, Linda Reynolds.
The delegation later visited the National Arboretum where Bainimarama planted an endangered Parana pine tree.
