It was Energy Fiji Limited’s employees who got our nation back on track as quickly as possible after Cyclone Winston when international experts said it would likely take years to restore the damage that was done to our power grid.
These were the sentiments of the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while recognizing the accomplishments and hard work of EFL’s employees during their awards night at the National Gymnasium.
Bainimarama says day in and day out, EFL worked overtime to exceed expectations, and helped the people of Fiji get back on track not in years, but in months.
He says the employees should be proud of themselves.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the leadership of EFL who brought the company to its position of strength where it stands today.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old Kishan Kumar who is the Acting Unit Leader Distribution in the Central Division who was awarded the 2018 Employee of the Year says he never saw this coming.
